Here’s five things to know on Thursday:

1. Braves lose to Angels, 2-1

The Atlanta Braves lost the final game of a three-game series against the Los Angeles Angels 2-1 on Wednesday night. David O'Brien writes how a throwing error and a homerun gave the Braves their second-straight loss. The Braves are off on Thursday and will start a three-game series with the Cincinnati Reds on Friday. The game will begin at 7:10 p.m.

2. Dream defeat Stars, 77-70

In a special WNBA matinee, the Atlanta Dream topped the San Antonio Stars on Wednesday afternoon, 77-70. The Dream fell behind by as many as 12 points in the first half, but climbed its way back to take the lead in the third quarter.

3. Braves to activate Garcia, O'Flaherty from DL 

The Braves plan to activate third baseman Adonis Garcia and reliever Eric O'Flaherty from the 10-day disabled list before the Braves begin the three-game series against the Cincinnati Reds on Friday.

4. Georgia Tech kickoff times announced 

The ACC announced the kickoff times for three Georgia Tech games on Wednesday. The specifics for Yellow Jackets' games against Miami, Jacksonville State and Central Florida can be read of the AJC.com.

5. Atlanta United's Gerardo Martino reveals what he learned against NYC FC

Doug Roberson interviews Atlanta United manager Gerardo Martino after he was suspended for Sunday's New York City FC game.
