New Orleans Saints running back and Norcross native Alvin Kamara has been ruled out of Thursday night’s game with a concussion, the team announced right before halftime.

Kamara headed to the locker room in the first quarter against the Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium to be evaluated for a possible concussion.

Kamara exited with the injury after he appeared to take a head-to-head hit from linebacker Deion Jones on the Saints’ opening drive of the game.

The rookie has accounted for 11 total touchdowns this season, which leads all first-year NFL players.
