Joe Girardi will not return as New York Yankees manager, according to a report Thursday by ESPN 1000 in Chicago.

Girardi and the team mutually agreed to part ways following a meeting Thursday, ESPN reported.

In 10 seasons as New York’s manager, Girardi amassed a 910-710 record with one World Series appearance.

During Girardi’s tenure, the Yankees had an MLB-best .562 winning percentage and the team finished above .500 every year.

Girardi’s four-year, $16 million contract ended after the Yankees lost in ALCS to the Houston Astros.
