Two-time Super Bowl winning quarterback Peyton Manning is "considering" an offer to join an ownership group bidding on the Carolina Panthers, according to a report by the Charlotte Observer.

The group, which invited Manning to serve as limited partner, is led by Charleston billionaire and CEO of Sherman Financial Group Ben Navarro.

Navarro is one of four bidders in contention for ownership after several accusations of inappropriate workplace behavior surfaced in December against current Panthers owner Jerry Richardson. Quickly after the reports of inappropriate behavior surfaced, Richardson announced he would sell the team.

Richardson's son and former Panthers president Mark Richardson told the Charlotte Observer in April that Navarro was his choice to become the team's next owner.

Manning, who has had many NFL related job offers since retiring at the conclusion of his Super Bowl winning 2015 season, turned down two broadcasting jobs by ESPN and FOX over the past few months.
