The South Carolina Gamecocks won the school’s first NCAA women’s basketball title on Sunday with a 67-55 over Mississippi State.

The Gamecocks, coach Dawn Staley, fans and the state of South Carolina reacted to their national championship on social media.

After the win, the Gamecocks were welcomed back to their hotel with a crowd of cheering fans.

Back at home, the media, fans and students in Columbia, SC reacted to the Gamecocks’ win.

To welcome back their champions, the University of South Carolina canceled all undergraduate classes after 3:10 p.m. on Monday. The Gamecocks will be honored at Columbia’s Colonial Life Arena at 4 p.m. on Monday.
