Top games to watch in world soccer this week:
Tuesday
2:45 p.m., West Ham vs. Manchester United, NBCSN: This features a Manchester team still trying to finish in the top four to clinch a spot in the Champions League, while West Ham is trying to hold on to its spot in the Europa League. United is in fifth, two points behind Manchester City.
Wednesday
2:45 p.m., Sunderland vs Everton, NBC Sports Live Extra: The Black Cats are one point out of the relegation and facing an Everton team that seems to have stopped listening to Roberto Martinez. A win and Sunderland is safe for another year.
2:45 p.m., Norwich City vs. Watford, NBC Sports Live Extra: Chasing Sunderland is Norwich City, which is four points back. The Canaries must win or they will almost certainly be relegated, which is worth hundreds of millions of dollars in lost revenue.
7 p.m., Philadelphia vs. L.A. Galaxy, MLS Live: Gio dos Santos has become a goal-scoring force for the Galaxy with shots that are hard to believe. The Union aren't flashy, but are doing enough to stay in the race in the Eastern Conference.
9 p.m. Dallas vs. Portland, MLS Live: The reigning MLS champs just can't get into gear with 12 points earned from 10 games. Dallas and Portland are tied for the second-worst defenses in MLS (18 goals allowed).
Saturday
7:30 p.m., Toronto vs. Vancouver, MLS Live: The Canadian rivals are heading in positive directions. Toronto has won three of its past four, while Vancouver has won two if its past four, with a draw thrown in.
7:30 p.m., Tampa Bay vs. Rayo OKC, ESPN3: Junior Burgos has fallen from the starting 11 for the Rowdies. He could face several of his former Silverbacks teammates in this game.
Sunday
10 a.m., Newcastle vs. Tottenham, NBC Sports Live Extra: Newcastle is in 18th place in the Premier League, in the relegation zone but one point from tying Sunderland for safety. Dropping points to Aston Villa last week will be a weekend to rue. After losing the title to Leicester City, Spurs are starting to sputter. The Magpies must win to keep alive their hopes of staying in the Premier League.
11 a.m., Deportivo La Coruna vs. Real Madrid, beIN Sports Connect: The La Liga title will be decided today in the season's final games. Real trail Barcelona by one point and also trails in goal-differential, so it must win.
11 a.m., Granada vs. Barcelona, beIN Sports Connect: If Barcelona wins it will defend its La Liga title. And then the transfer season fun will begin: how many Barcelona players will be tied with former manager Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
3:30 p.m., Sporting KC vs. Orlando City, ESPN: Atlanta's Joe Bendik is having a solid year in goal for Orlando City. Another player with ties to Georgia, Alec Kann, did well in his first appearance for Sporting KC.
