Atlanta United has signed former Silverbacks midfielder Junior Burgos, according to the team’s website.
He becomes the second player to sign with the team, joining goalkeeper Alexander Tambakis. Atlatna United will begin play in MLS in 2017.
Burgos will go on loan to Tampa in the NASL for the 2016 season. Tambakis will play Charleston, Atlanta United’s USL affiliate.
Burgos, 27 years old, scored three goals for the Silverbacks in 2014. He added three more goals in the U.S. Open Cup tournament for the team. He scored four more goals last season.
He has been capped six times by El Salvador.
