A Charlotte Hornets basketball player is accused in a domestic assault.
Jeffery Taylor, 25, was arrested in Michigan by the East Lansing Police Department on Thursday morning.
Taylor, 25, has been charged with one count of domestic assault, one count of assault and one count of malicious destruction of property.
His bond was set at $5,000.
Taylor didn't play last season due to a ruptured Achilles.
He was drafted in the second round of the NBA draft in 2012.
Taylor played college basketball at Vanderbilt.
He attended high school in New Mexico.
Taylor was born in Sweden.
The Hornets released the following statement regarding Taylor:
"The Charlotte Hornets were made aware of the incident involving Jeffery Taylor early this evening. The organization is in the process of gathering more information and doing our due diligence. This is a matter that we take very seriously."
