Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was on stage in Label nightclub moments before gunfire started Saturday night, Eyewitness News has learned.
WSOC-TV obtained photos of Newton partying with celebrities, including Young Jeezy, during festivities surrounding the CIAA weekend. He is seen wearing a white outfit with a black hat and scarf.
WSOC-TV took a closer look at video received during the shooting inside Label at the North Carolina Music Factory. A spot shadow has been added where Newton is seen on stage.
Seconds later, shots rang out in the club.

Newton, along with everyone else, ducked for cover and scrambled once shots were fired. Police said in a release Saturday night that the unidentified suspect fired "several shots from inside the club."

Two people were injured, but are expected to recover. The gunman has not been arrested.

WSOC-TV contacted the Panthers for comment but had not received a response by Tuesday evening.
CIAA officials stressed that the incident was in no way related to the tournament, but rather a private party.
Two people were also stabbed while attending a party at Club Oasis uptown Saturday night.
