How the winning run scored: Yamaico Navarro got a two-out walk in the top of the third, took third on a single and scored on a wild pitch to break a 1-1 tie. The Tides scored six in the fourth and four in the fifth and added another in the eighth.
At the plate: The G-Braves racked up 13 hits, 11 singles and two doubles but only one run. Jose Constanza and Ernesto Mejia had three singles each and Constanza added a walk. Stefan Gartrell had two hits, including an rbi double. Dan Uggla, in the first of two scheduled rehab games in Gwinnett following eye surgery, was 0-3 with two strikeouts and grounded into a double play.
On the mound: Braves pitchers gave up 17 hits for 13 runs all earned. Starter Freddie Garcia (8-4, 3.56) took the loss. He gave up eight runs in 3 2/3 innings.
What's next: G-Braves host one more with Norfolk and close out the home season with three against Durham. The final three games of the season will be at Charlotte Saturday through Monday.
