The University of Nevada-Las Vegas football team plans to honor the victims and heroes of the Las Vegas shooting on Saturday.

UNLV will wear a red ribbon on its helmets in Saturday’s home game against San Diego State in honor of those who lost their lives and those who saved lives during the Las Vegas shooting.

According to the team's website, both coaching staffs and all players will wear the ribbons. The ribbon will also be seen on the field.

There will be a pregame ceremony to honor victims, first responders, medical personnel and other local heroes. During the ceremony, a full-field, 100-yard American Flag will be used for the national anthem.

Kickoff is set for 10:45 PM ET and will be televised nationally on ESPN2.
