The Detroit Lions want to repair any hard feelings between the organization and retired wide receiver Calvin Johnson.

The former Georgia Tech receiver told the Detroit Free Press on Saturday he didn't like the way his relationship with the Lions ended when he retired at the end of the 2015 football season.

"I just didn’t feel like I was treated the way I should have been treated on the way out,” Johnson said to the Detroit Free Press. “That’s all. I mean, it’s all good. I’m not tripping. I don’t feel any kind of way, just hey, that's what they did. Hey, it is what is."

On Wednesday, Lions coach Jim Caldwell said president Rod Wood, general manager Bob Quinn and owner Martha Ford are "concerned" about the strained relationship with Johnson, according to Sporting News.

Johnson holds several Lions franchise records including most receptions (731), most receiving yards (11,619), most receiving yards in a season (1,964), most receiving yards in a game (329), most receiving touchdowns (83) and most receiving touchdowns in a season (16).

Caldwell welcomed Johnson back to team facilities and events.

"Our practices are open to all of our alumni. They can come any time, any day," Caldwell said, according to Sporting News. "I think you can see from the Taste of the Lions that a lot of the guys still come back and participate. Lomas Brown is always around doing something for us or helping us out with something. Barry (Sanders) was here during the Taste of the Lions. Billy Sims was here.

"There’s so many of the guys that have been such an important part of the organization were involved. That is important to us."
