Liberty Media chairman John Malone cheered the Braves at the company’s annual stockholders meeting Wednesday.

“I think the Atlanta Braves are having an incredible turnaround,” Malone told stockholders in Colorado.

The Braves, currently in first place in the National League East after four consecutive losing seasons, have been owned by Liberty Media since 2007.

Malone said the Braves have “great management, great new players, a beautiful new facility, an unbelievable complex that has been built in suburban Atlanta.”

“Anybody who gets a chance should go see it,” Malone said of SunTrust Park and The Battery Atlanta. “It’s, I think, a model for how to develop a sports-based complex.”

The brief meeting was held at Liberty Media’s corporate headquarters in Englewood, Colo., and broadcast on the company’s website.
