Before Sunday night’s Game 2 loss to the Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James welcomed Warriors coach Steve Kerr back to the sidelines.
Kerr, who hasn’t coached since April 16 due to complications with back surgery, returned to the Warriors sideline on Sunday night for the Warriors’ 132-113 win.
Kerr received a warm ovation from fans when he walked on the court on Sunday and hugged Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue.
"Felt great,” Kerr said of his return. “Got a really nice reception from our fans and our players. It was just great to be on the sidelines again. That's what makes it so much fun, to feel the energy of the Finals. So it's really nice to be back."
With a 2-0 series lead, the Warriors will travel to Cleveland for Game 3 on Wednesday and Game 4 on Friday.
James finished Game 2 with 29 points, 11 rebounds and 14 assists.
