After the Big South Conference’s media day, the Kennesaw State Owls were voted preseason co-champions.

The Owls tied Charleston Southern with nine first-place votes and 80 total points. Those teams were followed by Gardner-Webb, Monmouth, and Presbyterian. This pick is the highest preseason pick for the Owls.

"We're excited that the season is here, and we're excited for this recognition for our young program and our guys," said head coach Brian Bohannon in a press release. "But you've got to be ready to play every Saturday in this league, and that's a credit to these coaches here. We've got a great challenge for us to go out and continue to improve as a program."

The Owls and Charleston Southern play Nov. 11 at Kennesaw State. KSU opens on the road Thursday, August 31, against Samford at 7 P.M.
