Jaxson de Ville, the Jacksonville Jaguars' mascot, is used to getting attention for his high-flying stunts on the field every Sunday.

But three words on a sign have him in the spotlight for the wrong reasons, WOKV in Jacksonville and WDBO in Orlando reported.

"Towels Carry Ebola" was a joke about the Steelers' iconic "terrible towels." The Jaguars lost 17-9 to the Steelers at EverBank Field on Sunday.

The joke apparently didn't go over well with some, given that Ebola is such a sensitive topic around the world. Check out some of the reactions from social media below:
