Invisible man and the bikini runner

July 4, 2014

You may not have seen Tripp Weeks running The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race because he was wearing a camouflage outfit that covered his face, neck, shoulders and upper body known as a ghillie suit.

You certainly couldn’t miss Weeks’ training partner Terrie Tillman, who was wearing a clear-strapped yellow bikini with flowers on it.

“The boys, I don’t think they know what he is, but then they pan over,” Tillman said, pointing down her body.

Weeks, a project manager/software developer who lives in Marietta, said he is wearing the suit, which he bought for $5 at a garage sale, because he and Tillman like to wear them as a sign of support for other racers, particularly those who compete in ultra-marathons. He sometimes also wears Christmas lights.

“When you’re running 100 miles you’ve got to have some help,” he said.
