Atlanta United fullback Franco Escobar is week-to-week and midfielder Chris Goslin day-to-day because of injuries.

Escobar suffered a right quadricep strain while training last week ahead of the 2-1 win against Orlando City. Escobar, 23, has 16 starts as part of 17 appearances for the Five Stripes. He missed four consecutive games after sustaining a concussion, returned for one game, and then missed three more with a back injury. Julian Gressel started in Escobar’s place at right fullback last week. Escobar has been an underrated part of an Atlanta United defense that is tied for the second-fewest goals allowed this season (30). Escobar didn’t train with the team on Tuesday.

Goslin suffered a knock to his left ankle at least two weeks ago. He is expected to return to training this week. The Homegrown signing has yet to play for the team in a league game, but has 14 appearances for Atlanta United 2 this season.

Atlanta United, which leads MLS with 54 points, will play at D.C. United on Sunday.

Darlington Nagbe (adductor) and Greg Garza (shoulder), who recently resumed running, didn’t participate in team training on Tuesday.
