The Falcons’ victory over the Green Bay Packers on NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” delivered a 25.0 rating in the Atlanta TV market, meaning 25 percent of the market’s households tuned in on average.

In another Nielsen measure, the game posted a 42 share in the Atlanta market, meaning 42 percent of the homes with TVs in use at the time watched the game.

The Atlanta numbers trailed those in the Milwaukee TV market, where the game drew a 41.6 rating and 59 share.

Nationally, the game was Sunday’s top prime-time show with a 12.6 overnight rating in 50 metered markets.

The Falcons won 34-23 in the first NFL regular-season played in Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which had its retractable roof open for an event for the first time.
