Jim Slater missed Sunday’s game against Montreal with a concussion suffered in Friday’s loss at New Jersey. The forward had 18 shifts for 11:36 in the loss to the Devils.

With Slater out, the Thrashers activated Nik Antropov from injured reserve. The forward missed five games with a lower body injured after he crashed into the net in a game against Toronto Dec. 20.

To make room on the roster for the activation of Antropov, the Thrashers reassigned forward Tim Stapleton to AHL Chicago. Stapleton appeared in 10 games, in two stints, with the Thrashers this season. He did not have a point this season but scored a shootout goal in a win over Boston Thursday.

Zach Bogosian returned to the Thrashers lineup after missing Friday’s game with a knee injury.
