The weather is looking better in Augusta — except for the possibility of thunderstorms on Sunday’s final round.

Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brian Monahan says it will be wet at times for today’s Masters practice round at Augusta National Golf Club.

But dryer weather lingers through Wednesday and Thursday, with highs in the low 80s.

The chance for a few showers returns for Friday’s second round, Monahan says. Highs will remain in the low- to mid-80s.

The weekend will be warm and humid, but clouds and rain will be the theme of the closing rounds. On Sunday, Monahan says, a cold front moves in with showers and storms threatening late in the day.

The current forecast for the rest of Masters week at Augusta National calls for:

Today: Thunderstorms, 77/54 degrees, 100 percent chance of precipitation
Wednesday: Sunny, 81/56, 10 percent
Thursday: Partly cloudy, 81/63 degrees, 0 percent
Friday: Cloudy, 85/64, 20 percent
Saturday: Cloudy, 85/66, 20 percent
Sunday: Thunderstorms, 84/58, 80 percent
