Georgia Tech recently picked up a commitment from cornerback Kelvin Hill, formerly of Alabama-Birmingham.

Hill (5-foot-10, 180 pounds) announced Saturday on X, formerly Twitter, his intent to transfer to Tech for the 2025 season. Hill is a freshman who graduated from Carrolton High School.

At UAB this season, Hill played the second most defensive snaps of any Blazer. He led UAB in tackling and rush defense grades, according to Pro Football Focus, and made 43 tackles to go along with five pass breakups.

Hill was considered a three-star prospect, according to the 247Sports Composite, in the 2023 signing class and made 10 career interceptions at Carrollton.

Hill joins California tight end J.T. Byrne, South Carolina wide receiver Debron Gatling, Florida International wide receiver Eric Rivers, North Carolina offensive lineman Andrew Rosinski and Eastern Michigan defensive back Daiquan White as players who plan to transfer to Tech for the ‘25 season.
