Due to a minor NCAA rules violation by Miami, Georgia Tech will enjoy a small advantage in its game Saturday against the Hurricanes. Hurricanes coaches and staff will be penalized with a 20% reduction in usage of their communications devices for violating a rule governing the usage of coaches’ phones, headsets and other communication devices. The ACC made the announcement Monday.

The ACC news release noted two aspects of the rule, the number of devices permitted per team (23) and that teams must exchange lists of the personnel to be using the headsets and the individuals credentialed to be in the team area at least 90 minutes prior to the start of the game.

Saturday’s game will be played at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium.
