Georgia State announced on Friday the addition of five non-conference games to its future schedule, highlighted by a road trip to South Carolina.

The Panthers will open the 2022 season in Columbia, S.C., facing the Gamecocks. That will mark the fourth-year in a row Georgia State will open its season against an SEC foe, with games scheduled against Tennessee (2019), Alabama (2020) and Auburn (2021).

Georgia State also added a home-and-home series with East Carolina that will begin in Atlanta on Sept. 2, 2023, and conclude in Greenville, N.C., on Sept. 16, 2028.

The Panthers game last fall against Memphis that was cancelled due to Hurricane Irma has been rescheduled to Sept. 6, 2025, in Atlanta. This will complete a home-and-home series with the Tigers with the first game occurring this season.

Completing the list of announced games, Georgia State added a home game with Army at Georgia State Stadium for Oct. 19, 2019.
