Two of Georgia State’s top three scorers struggled to score for the second consecutive game and once again the Panthers lost, falling 79-71 to Canisius on Monday in Elon, N.C.

The trio of Ryan Harrow, R.J. Hunter and Devonta White missed 19 of their 25 shots against Alabama in last week’s 75-58 loss.

Harrow bounced back with 23 points against Canisius, but Hunter and White couldn’t find their shots. They combined to score 13 points – 17.5 less than their combined season average — and missed 16 of their 20 shots. The Panthers missed 17 of their 20 3-point attempts.

Conversely, Canisius’ guards had a field day against Georgia State’s zone defense. Chris Perez doubled his season average with 22 points. Billy Baron added 26 more. The Griffins hit 13 of their 23 3-point attempts.
