With the NCAA college basketball tournament officially underway, ESPN.com thought it would be interesting to create a fictitious bracket involving college football teams in 2018. The teams were seeded 1 through 64 according to ESPN's preseason FPI rankings for 2018.

The Bulldogs received a 1-seed in the Southeast Region along with top seeds Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State. Below is a list of who Georgia plays, and how they fared en route to a national title game berth.

Round 1: (1) Georgia 41, (16) Washington State 17

Round 2: (1) Georgia 27, (9) Utah 17

Sweet Sixteen: (1) Georgia 31, (4) USC 24

Elite Eight: (1) Georgia 23 , (2) Notre Dame 17

Final Four:  Georgia 27, Auburn 21

National Championship: Clemson, 28 Georgia 27

“It's more heartbreak for Georgia in familiar fashion,” ESPN.com’s Adam Rittenberg wrote. “The Bulldogs jump ahead by 10 before Clemson's defensive line tightens up to shut down D’Andre Swift, Zamir White and the running game. After an ineffective first half, Dabo Swinney benches quarterback Kelly Bryant in favor of true freshman Trevor Lawrence, a native of Cartersville, Georgia, who leads Clemson on the decisive touchdown drive.”
