For as good of a Rose Bowl game as Sony Michel was having, he will want to forget his costly fumble in the fourth quarter.

The Georgia running back had three touchdowns against the Oklahoma Sooners, but one play put that success on the back burner.

With the game tied at 38 and under seven minutes to play in the fourth quarter, Michel had to bounce a running play to the outside. He lowered his shoulder, but so too did linebacker Caleb Kelly. The sophomore knocked the football out of the arms of the senior, who hadn’t fumbled a football since his freshman year.

The loose ball was picked up by Oklahoma safety Steven Parker, who returned it 46 yards for a go-ahead touchdown. The Sooners went up 45-38 with 6:52 left in the game.
