Young soccer players have a chance to meet, and learn from, one of the best in the world.

Lauren Holiday, an FC Kansas City midfielder who also plays for the World Cup-winning U.S. women's national team, will be in Atlanta later this month for a free event at George Pierce Park in Suwanee.

During this event, titled “Celebrate the Cup,” Holiday, an Olympian and starter for the 2015 U.S. Women’s soccer team. will speak about her experience winning the 2015 World Cup, coach participants though various soccer drills, answer questions from the community and sign autographs. Smoothie King will be providing the smoothies.

Holiday recently announced her plans to retire from soccer.

WHAT: Smoothie King and Atlanta United Soccer Association are bringing Holiday to Atlanta on October 17 to participate in a soccer event for young athletes.
