FLOWERY BRANCH — With the players set to report on Wednesday, the Falcons released wide receiver Tim Toone on Tuesday.

Toone, 5-10, 175 pounds, was considered a longshot to make the team.

He was signed by the Falcons on July 25, 2012. After suffering a hamstring injury, he was waived-injured on Sept. 6, 2012 and later re-signed to the Falcons active roster on November 13, 2012.

Toone was originally selected by the Detroit Lions as a seventh-round (255th overall) draft pick in the 2010 NFL draft.
