Atlanta Falcons receiver Mohamed Sanu had the highest catch rate among NFL slot receivers during the 2016 season, according to a tweet from Pro Football Focus.

Sanu’s 85.4% rate from the slot was 5.4 percentage points better than the second-best such rate, from the Bills’ Robert Woods and the Vikings’ Adam Thielen. That’s well over twice the gap from Woods and Thielen to fifth-best Stefon Diggs of the Vikings.

In his fifth professional season, Sanu had career highs in catches (59), overall catch percentage (72.8%), and games started (15) in 2016, along with collecting 653 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Sanu signed a 5-year, $32.5 million contract with the Falcons with $14 million guaranteed prior to the 2016 season after leaving the Bengals in free agency.
