The Falcons made some of their roster moves early.

The team had until Tuesday's 4 p.m. deadline to get its roster down to 75 players, but on Sunday they released three players to reach that level.

Defensive tackles Jason Jefferson and Tywain Myles and long snapper Robert Shiver were released.

Jefferson struggled through training camp with a groin and hip flexor injury. He played in 13 games last season and made one start.

The Falcons, who play the Baltimore Ravens at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Georgia Dome, have to cut down to 53 players by Saturday.
