Falcons center Todd McClure, a native of Baton Rouge who played at LSU, always looks forward to Saints games.

Other connections:

• Saints cornerback Leigh Torrence, who graduated from Marist, was originally signed by the Falcons as a college free agent and played with the team in 2005.

• Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams coached Falcons linebacker Mike Peterson with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2008.

• Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan was  a teammate with Saints linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar at Boston College from 2003-07.

• Falcons safety Thomas DeCoud and Saints center Brian de la Puente played together at Cal from 2003- 07.

• Falcons safety William Moore, linebacker Sean Weatherspoon and Saints backup quarterback Chase Daniel all were teammates at Missouri.

• Falcons offensive line coach Paul Boudreau coached the offensive line in New Orleans from 1987-93.

• Saints defensive line coach Bill Johnson held the same position with the Falcons from 2001-06.

• Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones and Saints running back Mark Ingram played together at Alabama from 2008-10.

• Falcons tight ends coach Chris Scelfo attended Northeast Louisiana (now the University of Louisiana at Monroe) and was the head coach at Tulane from 1998-2006.
