Berry College receiver to play in East-West Shrine Bowl

Berry College wide receiver Mason Kinsey, a Division III player, is set to play in the East-West Shrine game at 3 p.m. Saturday at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Kinsey, 5-foot-11 and 187 pounds, played in high school at Habersham Central High and is from Demorest. He was a Division III All-American and had 50 touchdown catches and 3,342 yards receiving over his career.

In the college All-Star game, Kinsey will play on the East team, and his position coach is former NFL wide receiver Antwaan Randle El, who just finished his first season as an offensive assistant with Tampa Bay.

Georgia tight end Eli Wolf and West Georgia’s Auzoyah Alufohai, a 6-foot-5 and 328 pound defensive tackle, also will play on the East team.

Alufohai is from Alpharetta High and started his career at Kennesaw State.

Falcons offensive assistant coach Ben Steele, 41, will serve as the head coach of the West team.

Last season, was Steele’s first with the Falcons. He spent the five previous seasons with Tampa Bay, where he coached the tight ends (2017-18) after assisting the offense for three seasons.
