Tight end Austin Hooper, who just completed his fourth season and could become a free agent in March, has not received an offer from the Falcons, but he wants to return to the team.

“I’m not going to speak on that too much,” Hooper said when asked about his contract. “It’s a business. I’m open to coming back here. I don’t know ... I haven’t received an offer yet. If I do, I’d definitely like to be here, but at the same time, it’s a business. I’m going to let my representation and the representation for the Falcons handle that.”

Hooper, a Pro Bowl alternate, had  career-highs with 75 catches for 787 yards and six touchdowns in 2019.

“You guys hated me, especially you,” Hooper told the AJC. “Here you are now. It’s been cool. A 180 degrees flip from coming out 21 years old and everyone thinking I’m a finished product when in reality I was just getting started. I feel like every year I’ve been here, I’ve done nothing but get better. That’s what I’ll continue to keep doing.”

Hooper's projected value is at five-years, $49.9 million contract, by spotrac.com.

In 2022, Georgia Power projected its winter peak electricity demand would grow by about 400 megawatts by 2031. Since then, Georgia has experienced a boom of data centers, which require a large load of electricty to run, and Georgia Power's recent forecast shows peak demand growing by 20 times the 400-megawatt estimate from just three years ago.
