The Falcons released 11 players and placed four others on injured lists Sunday to trim their roster to the required 75 players prior to Tuesday’s deadline.

The team placed Mike Johnson (foot) and Marquis Spruill (knee) on injured reserve. Wide receiver Drew Davis (foot) and Zeke Motta (neck) were placed on the physically unable to perform list, making them ineligible to play for at least the first six weeks of the regular season.

The Falcons also released veteran safety Tyrell Johnson and waived 10 rookies they’d signed as free agents following the draft: defensive end Theo Agnew, linebacker Brendan Daley, linebacker Darin Drakeford, safety Devonta Glover-Wright, wide receiver Julian Jones, quarterback Jeff Mathews, linebacker Walker May, running back Jerome Smith, wide receiver Tramaine Thompson and tight end Brian Wozniak.

Glover-Wright is a Smyrna native who played collegiately at Utah State. Agnew played at Georgia State.
