After announcing he would return for his senior year at Georgia, Yante Maten landed the No. 23 spot on ESPN's college basketball ranking.

ESPN’s CBBRank rates the best 50 college basketball players in the nation ahead of 2017-18 tip off.

“Last seen scoring 33 points in just 31 minutes in UGA's 80-68 exhibition loss to Michigan State, Maten is going to be a problem for opposing defenses all season long. The 6-foot-8 senior is a box score stuffer par excellence,” ESPN’s CBBRank read.

To determine the CBBRank results, ESPN created a panel of writers, reporters, analysts and ESPN Insiders who ranked the top 50 college basketball players entering the upcoming season. The panel collaborated with Microsoft Research and The Wharton School and polled ESPN experts.

Below are the top 15 players on ESPN's CBBRank. The full list can be read on ESPN.com.
