Atlanta Dream point guard Renee Montgomery will be one of six participants in the WNBA 3-Point Contest during 2018 WNBA All-Star Game.

Montgomery, a 10-year veteran, will join defending 3-Point Content champion Allie Quigley of the Chicago Sky as well as the Seattle Storm’s Jewell Loyd, Las Vegas Aces’ Kayla McBride, Washington Mystics’ Kristi Toliver and Indiana Fever’s Kelsey Mitchell.

“There are some snipers in the contest,” Montgomery said in a video posted by the Dream. “I really want to win for my charity, like I said, there are some snipers in this contest, so I need to go practice.”

Montgomery is averaging 37.3 percent from the 3-point line this season, which is almost as good as her average from the field— 38.3 percent.

The former Connecticut Husky also averages 9.8 points and 3.3 assists in her first season with the Dream.

Montgomery joins Dream guard Angel McCoughtry as the only Dream representatives during WNBA All-Star weekend in Minneapolis, Minn. McCoughtry, a nine-year veteran who earned her fifth All-Star selection this season, was named the Dream's only All-Star for the 2018 WNBA All-Star Game on July 18.

The WNBA Three-Point Contest will be televised live during halftime of the 2018 WNBA All-Star Game on July 28.

The game will broadcast nationally from Minneapolis’ Target Center on ABC at 3:30 p.m. ET.
