The life of beloved NBA sideline reporter Craig Sager will be celebrated Tuesday during a public memorial in Marietta.

Sager, 65, died Thursday following a two-year battle with leukemia.

Sager, who was in broadcasting for more than four decades, appeared on Atlanta-based networks TNT and TBS for more than a quarter century.

A public memorial celebration will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016, at the Mount Bethel United Methodist Church in Marietta.
Sager, known as much for his charismatic interviews as for his outrageous wardrobe, requested that everyone wear colorful attire to the celebration.

NBA teams paid tribute to Sager during Thursday's games. Some had moments of silence, others were led to standing ovations.
