Jamar Thompkins rushed for three touchdowns as host Valdosta State defeated Mississippi College 42-17 on Saturday.

Thompkins had scoring runs of 54, 3 and 1 yards as he rushed for 149 yards on 10 carries. Valdosta State also got touchdown receptions from Brian Saunds, Lio’undre Gallimore and Klyer Croby from quarterback Rogan Wells.

Valdosta State improved to 5-0, 3-0 Gulf South Conference and is ranked No. 1 in Division II. Mississippi College fell to 2-3, 1-2.
