Tech’s Snoddy should return for Virginia Tech
Georgia Tech A-back Broderick Snoddy is expected to return for Thursday’s game against Virginia Tech, coach Paul Johnson said Friday.
“He’s good to go,” Johnson said.
Snoddy, a senior, has missed most of the past five games with an injured hand. He has rushed 16 times for 175 yards and a touchdown this season. He is Tech’s fifth-most productive running back, despite playing in just four games.
Snoddy has rushed 65 times for 483 yards and four touchdowns in the three previous years and is the team’s most-experienced running back. His return could provide a big-play threat to an offense that is averaging 5.5 yards per carry and 267.9 rushing yards per game.
Johnson said Snoddy couldn’t play against Virginia because he was only able to practice one day.
Additionally, tackle Bryan Chamberlain should be ready to play against the Hokies. He left last week’s game at Virginia with an undisclosed injury.
Johnson noted that two underclassmen linemen, Jake Stickler and Jake Whitley have taken a lot of reps this week and are “probably going to play some.”
