Georgia Tech commit TD Roof and the Buford High School Wolves will play in the second round of the Georgia High School AAAAA Playoff on Friday night against Jones County High School.
Roof, a 3-star linebacker, won’t be enrolling in Georgia Tech until he graduates from Buford in May. The 5-foot-11, 200 pound senior from Buford, Ga. verbally committed to Tech in June.
“Jones County is an athletic team that has played good football this year but my team is ready to go and has the mindset that we have to play well on all sides of the ball,” Roof said. “It’s really just one of those playoff games that you look forward to as a player.”
Buford (10-1) eliminated North Springs High School (6-5) last Friday 45-7 at Buford High School in Buford, Ga. in the first round of GHSA Class AAAAA playoffs. The winner of Friday’s playoff game will play the winner of the Carrolton High School vs. Thomas County Central High School game in the quarterfinals on Nov. 25.
Buford and Jones County (8-3) will kick off the second round of GHSA Class AAAAA playoffs from Buford High School at 7:30 and can be live streamed on the NFHS Network.
