Sun Belt honors Georgia State’s Hollowell

Georgia State’s Jeremy Hollowell was named the Sun Belt Conference men’s basketball player of the week on Monday.

Hollowell, a redshirt junior, averaged 22.5 points in leading the Panthers to wins over Troy and South Alabama last week. Georgia State (10-3, 3-1) will host Louisiana-Monroe (6-9, 2-2) in the annual "Barefoot for Bare Feet" Samaritan's Feet charity game on Thursday and Louisiana-Lafayette (5-8, 1-3) on Saturday.

Hollowell went 7-of-12, including 4-of-6 on 3-pointers, in the win over the Trojans. He went 7-of-15 in the winn over the Jaguars. He is averaging a team-high 15.8 points this season.
