Bryce Drew is reportedly headed to Vanderbilt.

The Valparaiso coach will become Vanderbilt's new coach, according to a Sports Illustrated report on Monday. An ESPN tweet also reported that Drew and the school are "closing in on a deal." Drew was a candidate at Tech, and athletic director Mike Bobinski now will look in a different direction. Sunday, Duke assistant coach Jeff Capel reportedly withdrew his name from consideration from the Tech job.

The only known candidate is Boston Celtics assistant coach Jay Larranaga, the son of Miami Hurricanes coach Jim Larranaga. The level of mutual interest is unclear. Other possibilities include Winthrop coach Pat Kelsey, who has had a successful four-year run at the South Carolina. He previously served two years as associate head coach at Xavier when Bobinski was athletic director there.
