Georgia Tech has a slogan to rally behind.

So said safety Corey Griffin following Monday’s practice.

“This year, our team slogan is ‘Put in,’” said Griffin, in the lead for the starting strong safety spot. “So that means every day, every rep, give it all you got and put in. We’ve bought into it.”

The mantra was the result of a team meeting, according to defensive tackle Kyle Cerge-Henderson, who said he was “not at liberty to discuss when or where,” but acknowledged that any team member was free to contribute ideas to improve the team. A galvanizing motto was one such suggestion.

“You see teams with all these slogans,” Cerge-Henderson said. “We realized we didn’t really have anything that you can bank off of. We decided (on) ‘Put in.’”
