Kennesaw State’s Jae Bowen may miss the 2016 football season after suffering a torn ACL during a recent practice.

Bowen, a redshirt sophomore from South Paulding, is an A-back who rushed for 184 yards on 27 carries in eight games last season. He was expected to start this season.

Coach Brian Bohannon said Bowen has yet to undergo surgery. Bohannon said there’s a chance that Bowen could return by October.

The Owls spring game will be March 26 at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. They will open the season hosting East Tennessee State on Sept. 3. The Owls went 6-5 last season.
