ATHENS -- Jarvis Jones, coming off a big performance for Georgia and eligible to enter the next NFL draft, said Monday he has a lot more college football in him and isn't ready for the pros.

Jones was named SEC defensive player of the week with Arkansas' Jerry Franklin following his four-sack outing against Florida this past Saturday, this coming after his recent nomination as a semifinalist for the Butkus Award, given to the nation's top linebacker.

As a redshirt sophomore from Columbus -- he sat out a season after transferring to Georgia from Southern California -- the 6-foot-3, 241-pound  Jones is eligible to enter the 2012 NFL Draft. He was asked if he was considering that option.

"Not at all," Jones said without hesitation. "I'm going to be here as long as I can. I love the university, I love the guys here, I love being in Athens. Most of all, school's going to come first. And I love my coaches, too. Right now, I don't feel like I'm ready to play in the NFL anyway. I've still got a lot to learn."

Jones looked like he knew what he was doing against the Gators. The outside linebacker and pass-rushing specialist recorded his four sacks -- which were the second most in school history -- had five tackles overall and forced a fumble that Georgia recovered and led to an eventual touchdown.

Jones' performance also earned him the Walter Camp national defensive player of the week, the Rivals.com SEC player of the week and the College Football Performance Awards national layer of the week honors.

"It's been great," Jones said. "I think I've dealt with it well. It was a big game, and I expect it was for the rest of the guys around me. It was Florida and we hadn't beaten them since ‘07. So we're proud and walking around with our heads held high right now."

Lee out 4-6 weeks

The news on starting offensive guard Dallas Lee on Monday was as good as Georgia could have hoped. According to his mother, Lisa Lee, the sophomore from Buford suffered two fractures of the fibula bone in his right leg against Florida on Saturday. But they were clean breaks and will not require surgery.

Lee will be out four to six weeks and plans to be back for a bowl game, if not sooner. He is in an air cast and is already rehabilitating with the training staff daily.

Lee was injured in the third quarter Saturday when Carlton Thomas cut-blocked a rushing Florida player, who flipped and landed on Lee's planted leg.

Glenn earns weekly honor

Georgia senior left tackle Cordy Glenn was named SEC's offensive lineman of the week. The 6-5, 348-pound Riverdale native graded out at a team-best 82 percent with three "intimidation" blocks while starting his 41st consecutive game for the Bulldogs.

Boykin a Thorpe semifinalist

Senior cornerback Brandon Boykin was among 15 semifinalists announced Monday for the Jim Thorpe Award, which is given to the top defensive back in college football.

"It's definitely an honor to be up for that," Boykin said. "As long as our defense continues to play well, I have a chance."

TV mulls Georgia-Auburn game

CBS is considering the Georgia-Auburn game for its national broadcast on Nov. 12. The SEC's primary television rights holder exercised its six-day option on Monday, meaning it will wait until Sunday to decide. CBS will choose between Georgia's home game and Alabama at Mississippi State, Florida at South Carolina and Tennessee at Arkansas.
