Freshman Dominick Sanders, the only defensive back who has started every game this season for Georgia, should be “fine” for Saturday’s game against Georgia Tech after suffering a lower left leg injury last week, coach Mark Richt said.

Sanders left the game against Charleston Southern midway through the first quarter with what Richt described as a shin contusion.

“There’s no broken bones or anything like that,” Richt said. “I’m sure he’ll be sore … but as the week goes on he’ll be fine.”

Richt reported no other injuries from the Charleston Southern game. “If we don’t have any setbacks between now and (Saturday), everybody who was able to play this last game will be able to play this game coming up,” he said.

Sanders, from Tucker High, has 29 tackles, four pass break-ups and one interception. He returned a fumble recovery 54 yards for a touchdown against Arkansas.
