Georgia State’s Manny Atkins was named the Colonial Athletic Association player of the week on Monday. He averaged 21 points and 5 rebounds to lead the Panthers to wins over William and Mary and Old Dominion last week.

Atkins, a redshirt junior from Tucker, is averaging 13.8 points per game after scoring at least 20 points in the past three games. During that span, his field-goal percentage is 52.2 percent and he has also made 15 consecutive free throws. He leads the CAA in 3-point shooting (42.3 percent).

He scored 21 points to lead the Panthers to a 74-58 victory over the Tribe. He followed that with 21 points to help Georgia State to their first victory, 69-54, at the Ted Constant Center in Norfolk.

Georgia State is playing at Towson on Monday.
