Former Georgia wide receiver A.J. Green, projected to be a top-10 pick in April’s NFL Draft, will speak with Falcons beat writer D. Orlando Ledbetter on an occasional basis leading to the draft and share his views on the process of becoming an NFL player.

It's been going good. I just got back into Athens on Saturday. I started working out again on Monday.

My trainers designed a workout that I'm sticking with. It's a little different from what I was doing before the combine. Just more football drills, working with heavier weights and getting my pounds back up.

Everything has been going good. After the combine, it just feels like a burden has been lifted off of my shoulders. Now, I can just focus on football.

With regards to the lockout, I'm just playing it by ear. Whatever happens, I'm going to be ready. I don't really know how I'm going to be affected by all of this.

I haven't been on any private workouts for teams yet. I'm going to do that after our pro day.

Sometimes I reflect on my high school days. I still talk to [Summerville (S.C) High football] coach John McKissick when I go home. He just told me to keep working hard the last time I talked to him.

Winning the state basketball championship was one of the biggest moments of my life. Our coach told us that we were going to win the AAAA state championship, and we did. I played [small forward], mostly. But I also played some [at point guard] and [at shooting guard]. I averaged about 25 points a game.

I'm ready for the NCAA tournament. I'm going to get my bark going in a minute. I hope my Dogs beat Washington. We just have to finish the game. We should be all right though.

I going to pick my brackets, but I haven't yet. I'm not just going to pick all of the top seeds. Although I do like San Diego State. I think they are going to surprise a lot of people.

This process of getting ready for the NFL has been like a dream. I'm enjoying every moment of it. I'm going to keep working up to draft day.

I don't know where I'm going. You keep hearing about Cincinnati or Cleveland, but I'm trying to block all of that talk out because this draft stuff is crazy. You never know what is going to happen.
