Georgia faces Tennessee a week removed from the Bulldogs’ toughest test of the young season, one in which Missouri pushed back hard at times before losing 43-29.
The Dogs, ranked second in the country, will try to reach 5-0 for the second consecutive season and the second time since 2012. That year was the last time UGA scored at least 40 points in its first five games The Dogs have a shot at that feat again this season entering Saturday.
Georgia will face an SEC opponent at home for the first time this season. They enter the game at 2-0 in conference play, with road victories at South Carolina and Missouri.

» The Bulldogs are 17 of their past 19 games and 21 of their past 24. At that point, Georgia sat 4-4 in coach Kirby Smart's first season at Georgia in 2016.
» Georgia defeated Tennessee 41-0 last season in Knoxville in the first shutout in the series since 1981. That season Georgia won 44-0 in Athens for the largest margin of victory by UGA in the series. Only the Volunteers' 46-0 win in 1936 surpasses that.
» The Bulldogs have won seven of their past 10 games against the Vols. Last season, Georgia gained 378 yards of offense, averaging 5.25 yards per play, and became the first team to shut out Tennessee. That ended a streak of 289 games that began in 1994.
» Tennessee prevailed when the teams met at Sanford Stadium two years ago. That game ended with Vols quarterback Joshua Dobbs throwing a 43-yard touchdown pass caught in the end zone by Jauan Jennings as time expired, giving the Vols a 34-31 victory.
